A blend of 55% Xa-rello, 30% Macabeo and 15% Parellada aged for a minimum of twelve months. Pale yellow color giving off a toasty perfume, floral notes and honey. Unlike other cavas, the bubbles are fine and gently roll off the tongue leading into an elegant mousse. Very well balanced.

Dry and nervy on the palate, offering tangy citrus and green apple flavors and good mineral cut. MARQUES DE TOMARES CRIANZA 2007 D.O.C. RIOJA
This is a classic Rioja blend, 90% Tempranillo, 7% Mazuelo and 3% Graciano, which spent twelve months in American and a touch of French oak with a minimum fourteen months in bottle. A killer nose, very deep. This is wound up very tight, but packed with fruit and plenty of spine. The finish is very long and penetrating. Only 9,166 cases produced.
MARQUES DE TOMARES RESERVA RIOJA 2005 D.O.C. RIOJA
This rocks. 80% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo aged two years in American and French oak. If you open this, you need to decant it, there is no other way. The nose and palate are definitely in the middle of Crianza and Gran Reserva. Plenty of fruit, but gaining maturity. You could nose this to death and not take a sip and still be satisfied. Only 5,010 cases produced.

MARQUES DE TOMARES GRAN RESERVA 2001 D.O.C RIOJA
A single vineyard Gran Reserva, alway 90% Tempranillo and 10% Mazuelo aged a minimum of 24 months in new American oak, and generally released in its 8th year. Beautiful red garnet color, with earthy mushroom tones, mild spice and rhubard-sour cherry and vanilla cream aromas. Leather and oak as well round out the nose. Medium body with red raspberry fruit, sublte tannins with good grip and acidity. The finish is crisp, with the fruit following up with more flavor resonating on the sides of the mouth and the back palatte. Only 750 cases of this wine are made, when it is made. Previous vintages were 1996, 1995, 1994 and 1991.
